The AK and the Glock

The AK47 is the bad guys weapon of choice. Why doesn't SWAT use the AK? It's mainly a perception issue.
The AK is the evil gun. The M16 is the good guy's gun. It's a fact the AK47 is more powerful and more reliable than the AR or AR15. These officers also use the Glock 17 and Glock 21 handguns. The Glock 22 is a .40 caliber Glock which is also widely used by many SWAT teams. Most experienced gun fighter will prefer the 45 or 10 mm over over the .40 S&W as the .40 is on over pressured cartridge which has sharp snappy and unpleasant recoil while the .45 ACP is has more of dull thump.
